Tracy Teal, NP-C, Chief of Community Health at CareSouth Carolina, was awarded 2016 Migrant Champion of the Year by the South Carolina Primary Health Care Association Migrant Health Network at their Migrant Health Advisory Meeting in Columbia, South Carolina.

Tracy has gone above and beyond in extending services to the migrant and seasonal farmworkers in the area.  She has brought health and dental services to the migrant and farmworkers by utilizing CareSouth Carolina’s mobile medical and dental units. Through Tracy’s efforts, CareSouth Carolina has received heartfelt praise and accolades from the local farm and business owners.

“Tracy has developed this program with compassion, respect, caring and commitment,” said Ann Lewis, CEO at CareSouth Carolina.  “We appreciate all she does and are so very proud of her on this accomplishment and to also know that CareSouth Carolina is, once again, leading the state in providing services to a community that would not be otherwise provided.  I feel so thankful that we are able to do this.  Improving and enhancing the health and wellbeing of everyone.”
