Your health, your time. We're here when you need us.
We're thrilled to announce Minnie Hare, LPN from our Hartsville Pediatric office as our June Employee of the Month! Minnie's incredible dedication and persistence in advocating for our patients truly embody the spirit of a Community Health Center.
Minnie recently took on a challenging prior authorization case for a disabled child who urgently needed XL pull-ups. Despite the family's insurance coverage, their provider struggled to find a company that stocked the correct size, leaving the parents to consider expensive out-of-pocket purchases. Minnie didn't give up. She meticulously researched, contacting the Medicaid provider to confirm coverage and then calling numerous vendors across South Carolina. When local options proved fruitless, she expanded her search to North Carolina, ultimately discovering Aveanna Healthcare, which could provide the necessary supplies fully covered by insurance. Minnie's initiative didn't just help one child; her discovery of Aveanna Healthcare created a new resource for our entire patient community! This was immediately beneficial for a second child experiencing weight loss due to a medication change. Previously, this child's parents faced out-of-network pharmacy costs for Pediasure. Thanks to Minnie's groundwork, this family can now receive Pediasure fully covered by their insurance through Aveanna Healthcare.
Minnie's follow-through secured much needed resources for our patients and significantly eased the stress and worry for these parents, allowing them to properly and affordably care for their children during challenging times. Her nursing background has clearly instilled in her the valuable lesson that "every no does not mean no."
Minnie's dedication to going the extra mile for our patients is truly inspiring. Thank you, Minnie, for your outstanding commitment and for reminding us all of the profound impact we can have on the lives of those we serve!
