CareSouth Carolina’s Tracy J. Teal’s Now Seeing Patients at the Chesterfield Office

CHESTERFIELD, S.C. – CareSouth Carolina is pleased to announce that Tracy J. Teal, LMSW, RN, BSN, MSC, FNP-C, will now be seeing patients at the organization's Chesterfield office, transitioning from her previous location in Cheraw.

For patients who have come to know and trust Teal as their healthcare provider, the good news is that they won't have to travel far to continue receiving care from her. CareSouth Carolina's Chesterfield office is just a short drive from Cheraw, making it convenient for existing patients who wish to continue seeing Teal.

A longtime Chesterfield County resident with a diverse background in healthcare and social services, Teal brings decades of experience and a deep understanding of the community she serves.

Before becoming a family nurse practitioner, Teal began her career in social work, driven by a desire to help people and make a meaningful difference in their lives. Her passion for patient care eventually inspired her to pursue nursing and become a family nurse practitioner, allowing her to take a more direct role in meeting her patients' healthcare needs.

Throughout her career, Teal has served in numerous healthcare and community leadership positions, including Chief of Community Health at CareSouth Carolina, Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, Social Worker with Hospice of Chesterfield County, and Chesterfield County Clinic Director for Tri-County Community Mental Health Center.

Her professional experience also includes positions at Chesterfield General Hospital, Springs Memorial Hospital, Piedmont Medical Center, and the South Carolina Department of Social Services.

This extensive background has shaped Teal's approach to healthcare, which centers on building relationships, understanding patients' individual needs, and taking the time to listen.

"I try to spend a lot of time. I try to know my patients. I love my patients," Teal said. "That's how you come up with what's going on with the patient and how to treat them. You pay attention and you listen."

Having spent more than five decades in Chesterfield County, Teal understands the importance of providing compassionate, personalized healthcare to the people and families who call the area home.
