BISHOPVILLE, S.C. — CareSouth Carolina is pleased to announce that Michael Chandler, M.D., has moved to the organization’s Bishopville office, where he will continue providing family medicine services to patients in Lee County and the surrounding communities.
Dr. Chandler joined CareSouth Carolina in late 2025, initially serving patients at the Society Hill office. With more than 25 years of experience in Family Medicine, he brings decades of knowledge and a strong commitment to building relationships with the patients and families he serves.
Dr. Chandler’s career has included emergency care, urgent care and family practice settings throughout South Carolina. He has been board-certified in Family Medicine since 1998 and was re-certified in 2020. Over the years, he has served communities throughout the Pee Dee region while focusing on compassionate, accessible and patient-centered care.
For Dr. Chandler, the most rewarding part of practicing medicine comes down to the people he has the opportunity to serve.
“Making a difference. That’s the Bottom line,” Dr. Chandler said. “I enjoy getting to know the patients and be a part of making a difference in their lives.”
As he settles into the Bishopville office, Dr. Chandler looks forward to getting to know even more patients and families in the community while helping them manage their health through every stage of life.
Outside of work, Dr. Chandler enjoys spending time outdoors. While he is not a hunter, he enjoys shooting, boating and fishing. He appreciates opportunities to get outside and enjoy what he describes as “the beautiful world that our good Lord gave us.”
