CareSouth Carolina is pleased to welcome Anna Yager, MS, LPC, to its Behavioral Health team as a school-based behavioral health counselor serving students at McColl Elementary/Middle School, Bennettsville Primary School, and Blenheim Elementary/Middle School.
Yager is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned her Master of Science in Applied Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Counseling from Francis Marion University. In her new role, she will provide behavioral health services directly within the school setting, helping students access the care and support they need in a familiar and convenient environment.
School-based behavioral health care brings mental health and emotional support services—including counseling and crisis intervention—to students on campus, making it easier for them to receive care where they learn and grow each day.
Yager said CareSouth Carolina's mission and approach made it the right place to continue her career.
"CareSouth Carolina aligned with my professional values and goals by offering a patient-centered culture, opportunities for continuing development, and a clear commitment to community health," Yager said.
She is passionate about helping children and adolescents navigate challenges while developing the skills they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
"I find it deeply rewarding to build trusting relationships that help students feel seen and supported, enabling them to develop healthier coping skills," Yager said. "I enjoy being able to witness their moments of growth."
Outside of work, Yager enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, Amelia and Abel.
