HARTSVILLE, S.C. — A little inclement weather didn’t stop hundreds of people from around the Pee Dee community from making their way to CareSouth Carolina’s Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
The free community event took place from 10 a.m. to noon at Butler Heritage Gymnasium.
The Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat offered a morning of family-friendly activities while also connecting community members with valuable health information and resources.
Guests were able to enjoy food, games, and Trunk or Treat activities throughout the event. CareSouth Carolina also provided health information and screenings, giving attendees an opportunity to learn more about their health while enjoying the fall festivities.
“We’re excited to welcome families from Hartsville and the surrounding communities for a fun morning together,” said CareSouth Carolina Chief of Community Health Joe Bittle. “Events like this give us an opportunity to connect with the people we serve outside of a traditional health care setting. We want families to have a great time while also having access to information and resources that can help them live healthier lives.”
