CareSouth Carolina administering J&J, Moderna booster shots

Per the latest guidance from the CDC and FDA, CareSouth Carolina will begin administering the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine booster shots at its office locations. CareSouth Carolina was already administering the Pfizer COVID-19 booster shot. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome.

Individuals who received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine can get a booster vaccine six months after being fully vaccinated. Individuals who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine can get a booster two months after receiving the shot.

The recommendations for those individuals who should receive the booster are as follows:

  • 65+ years of age.
  • Long-term care residents
  • 50-64 years of age with underlying conditions
  • 18-49 years of age with underlying conditions are recommended to weigh their individual benefit risks
  • Those who work in high-exposure occupations
