August 2025 Employee of the Month - Melissa Brock

Congratulations to Clara “Melissa” Brock, our Population Health Specialist at the Chesterfield location, as our August Employee of the Month! 

Melissa's dedication, expertise, and collaborative spirit have not only elevated the Chesterfield site's performance but have also boosted morale across the team. Melissa is a vital contributor to both the Chesterfield team and the Value-Based Care team. When she joined the Chesterfield site, performance was below expectations in many categories. Instead of accepting the status quo, Melissa took charge. She conducted thorough research, reviewed patient records, and partnered with the site administrator to provide staff with training on accurate documentation practices. Her hard work and persistence paid off immensely. In just eight months, the Chesterfield location improved from meeting expectations in only 9 of 18 measures to exceeding expectations in 16 of the 18 categories. This incredible achievement has led to increased performance-based funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and has even boosted staff bonuses; benefiting the entire team.

Beyond her remarkable results, Melissa consistently goes the extra mile. She has been an asset in supporting Dr. Biester with nursing home visits and even created a detailed spreadsheet of ICD-10 codes to help the team better understand patient data. This was not a required task; Melissa identified the issue on her own, developed tools to address it, and is actively working toward long-term solutions.
