Job Description

Will assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in accordance with local, state, federal, and company regulations. Duties include but are not limited to helping patients who are dropping off/picking up prescriptions, entering orders into the computer, creating & updating insurance information, communicating with insurance carriers to obtain information for payment claims, assisting the pharmacist with filling and labeling prescriptions, obtain refill authorizations from prescribers and their agents.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Must have certification with the S.C. Board of Pharmacy and national certification
• Excellent customer service skills are required
• A minimum of five years of experience with a retail chain and/or high-volume pharmacy is strongly preferred
• Must have CPR certification

The pharmacy is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
