Job Description 

Operates the cash register and accepts prescriptions for filling. Interacts with customers via telephone and in person.  Assists pharmacist and pharmacist technician as needed. The duties include:

• Accept prescriptions for filling and gather any needed demographic information. 
• Answer telephone inquiries, referring calls to pharmacist or pharmacy technician when necessary. 
• Unpack, sort, count, and label incoming OTC merchandise as instructed by the pharmacist in charge. 
• Operate cash register to process cash and credit sales. 
• Maintain and clean equipment, work areas, and shelves. 
• Provides excellent customer service 
• Completes all assignments in Relias and signs all documents in PowerDMS on time. 
• Willingly perform other duties as assigned and/or required 

Education and Experience

• A high school diploma/GED equivalent is required.   
• One (1) to three (3) years of retail pharmacy cashier experience is strongly preferred. 
• A valid driver’s license is required. 

Hours

Monday-Friday, 40 Hours, Full Time
