POSITION SUMMARY

Functioning under the clinical guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer, the staff nurse participates in the assessment and care of clinic patients. This involves a variety of tasks requiring judgment born of solid knowledge and expertise in general nursing theory. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Interacts with patients and employees in a respectful manner consistent with the mission and values of CareSouth Carolina.
• Provides the required documentation for every visit.
• Maintains a clean environment for performing patient care.
• Injections will be administered using the 7 patient administration rights (right patient, right time, right medication, right route, right dose, right reason, right documentation).
• Performs callbacks promptly
• Assists with referrals as needed

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Must have an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent nursing diploma
• Must be licensed to work as an LPN in the State of South Carolina
• Must be BLS certified by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Six to twelve months’ experience in a community health care center or family practice setting is preferred

HOURS

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
