Job Description

The Groundskeeper maintains the grounds of all CareSouth Carolina property and carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  The duties include:

• Responsible for both routine and extensive grounds keeping activity to include but not limited to mowing and trimming lawns, planting grass, flowers, trees, and scrubs. Involved with specials projects such as landscape, planning for facilities, or coordinating office moves.
• Responsible for trimming and pruning of trees and shrubs; applying herbicides, insecticides and fertilizers; litter and leaf removal and assisting with minor preventive maintenance and remodeling functions.
• Performs snow and ice removal from parking lots and sidewalks.
• Carries out all grounds keeping activities as directed by the Groundskeeper Supervisor.
• Ensures that preventive maintenance procedures are carried out on a scheduled basis and completes maintenance records for all equipment.
• As directed by Deputy Director, Physical Plant performs routine laboring and remodeling activities when grounds keeping activities have been completed.
• Completes Relias trainings and signs off on PowerDMS documents in a timely fashion.
• Willingly assists with other duties as requested.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma
• Zero (0) to one (1) year experience in field or related field
• Valid Driver’s License Required(MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD)

Hours

Monday-Friday, Full Time, 40 Hours

Location

Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Lee and Marlboro Counties
