Job Description
Responsible for greeting patients, answering the telephone, entering and updating patient demographic information, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and providing quality customer service to patients. The duties include:
- Processing of patient consent and other forms, as well as insurance verification, to see the patient.
- Participate in the scheduling of dental patients (school based and adult) and prepare necessary paperwork for the visit.
- Entering all patient information into practice management and billing software
- Review encounter forms daily to ensure completeness and the submission of forms to billing submit pre-authorization requests for services.
- Dental billing and codding
- Daily data entry
- Assist the clinical teams administratively at the schools/site/Dental Mobile Unit
- Provide basic clinical assistance such as taking patients vitals.
- Assist with the loading/unloading and set up of dental equipment.
- Participation in community events
- Other duties as needed and assigned.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- A minimum of one year of dental office experience is preferred.
- Experience in the use of Dentrix software is preferred.
- Experience completing insurance verification is preferred.
Hours
Monday-Friday, 40 Hours per week.
Location
This position is to work with our school-based dental team(s) in the counties of Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Lee, and Marlboro.
