Job Description

Responsible for greeting patients, answering the telephone, entering and updating patient demographic information, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and providing quality customer service to patients.  The duties include:

• Processing of patient consent and other forms, as well as insurance verification, to see the patient.
• Participate in the scheduling of dental patients (school based and adult) and prepare necessary paperwork for the visit.
• Entering all patient information into practice management and billing software
• Review encounter forms daily to ensure completeness and the submission of forms to billing submit pre-authorization requests for services.
• Dental billing and coding
• Daily data entry
• Assist the clinical teams administratively at the schools/site/Dental Mobile Unit
• Provide basic clinical assistance such as taking patients vitals.
• Assist with the loading/unloading and set up of dental equipment.
• Participation in community events
• Other duties as needed and assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• A minimum of one year of dental office experience is preferred.
• Experience in the use of Dentrix software is preferred.
• Experience completing insurance verification is preferred.

Hours

Monday-Friday, 40 Hours per week.  

Location

This position is to work with our school-based dental team(s) in the counties of Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Lee, and Marlboro.
