Job Description

Functioning with the clinical guidance of the Medical Director, the call center nurse participates in the assessment and care of patients who call in to the call center. This involves a variety of tasks requiring judgement born of a solid knowledge and expertise in general nursing theory. The duties include, but are not limited to:

• Interacts with patients and employees in a respectful manner consistent with the mission and values of CareSouth Carolina.
•  Provides the required documentation for every call.
• Responds to calls that come in to the call center that require nurse attention.
• Checks and responds to emails in a timely manner.
• Reads and signs off documents in Power DMS in a timely manner.
•  Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• License to work as an LPN in the State of South Carolina
• LPN Associate degree/diploma
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BLS certification
• (1) One to (3) three years of experience is strongly preferred.
• Must be proficient with EMR and have the ability to provide detailed patient charting.
• Must be able to develop caring relationships with patients and treat them with respect and empathy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Hours

Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
