POSITION SUMMARY:  The family practice physician provides primary care in a Family Practice clinic setting.  Ambulatory services only, no E.R., in-patient or on-call required.  This position is part or full time with exempt status.  CareSouth Carolina is Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and a Patient Centered Health Home and all employees are an integral part of this model of care delivery.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

+Ultrasound Technologist - Temporary, Full-time or PRN - Hartsville
Job Summary:  The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. The Ultrasound Technologist is also responsible for daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). The Ultrasound Technologist maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease and new procedures as they evolve.

Qualifications:

  1. Satisfactory completion  of  formal  Radiologic  technology  training  in  an  AMA-approved  school  and   ability   to   meet   requirements   for   registry   by   the   American   Registry   of   Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  2. Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) preferred
  3. Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty, as appropriate.
  4. Current BLS
  5. Ability to effectively operate sonographic equipment
  6. Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed

  8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and health care team

Lifting Requirements:

Heavy lifting:  up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs.  Must be able to stand, stoop and lift and walk without rest.

Job Description:  The PI Coordinator helps coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of CareSouth Carolina’s (CSC’s) overall performance improvement program. Will use CSC EHR, i2i Tracks, Clinical Intelligence, and other systems to generate reports for identification of areas of needed improvement and to track progress of implemented solutions.  Provides support to Spread Teams as necessary to ensure that the Spread of Innovation occurs in a timely and effective manner.  Through targeted audits and other means as necessary, investigates specific areas identified by leadership for Performance Improvement, Strategic, or Risk Management purposes.  Supports the organization’s processes for compliance with all Joint Commission, and other legal and regulatory requirements.  Assists clinical staff with compliance and improvement with CSC UDS measures.  Ambulatory Health Care experience is required.  Knowledge of HEDIS & UDS quality measure is required.   The PI Coordinator reports directly to the Chief Quality Officer.

SKILLS/EDUCATION:  A Bachelor’s degree is required. Successful candidate needs to have experience with process improvement and data evaluation.  Medical office experience strongly preferred.  Strong computer skills, especially Excel, required.

+Dental Transportation Specialist - Full-time
POSITION OVERVIEW:The Dental Transportation Specialist is a critical member of the Dental Department, responsible for ensuring that the dental equipment is moved to and from the schools, and other settings, where CSC dental patients are seen.  Under the supervision and guidance of the Dental Director, the Dental Transportation Specialist will have the following duties, as well as other responsibilities as deemed necessary:

  • Using panel truck, transporting mobile dental equipment to and from all assigned work sites. This will include occasional weekend outreach events. In addition to transporting the equipment, will be responsible for moving the equipment into the work site and assisting the dental team with the set-up of the equipment.  They will also work closely with the Mobile Dental Scheduling Managers for the moving schedule.
  • Will drive and set up the Dental Mobile Unit (DMU) to and from all assigned work sites including weekend outreach events. (DMU is a 40 foot C7500 GMC straight truck)
  • Responsible for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the DMU.
  • Responsible for tracking all dental inventories and placing dental supply orders for each dental team. This will require working closely with each team to determine its needs, ensuring that orders are completed on the required schedule, and working closely with the Procurement Department to fulfill orders.
  • Responsible for picking up supplies and delivering to dental teams as needed.
  • Maintain and repair dental equipment and manage dental hand piece repairs.
  • Completing a daily checklist as provided by the Dental Director.
  • When not performing duties listed above, will travel with each mobile team on a rotation to assist with basic daily clerical duties.
  • Given the nature of the mobile program, requests may change, within reason, in order to accommodate efficient work flows for the department.

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Class B or higher commercial driver’s license strongly preferred, air brake endorsement a plus.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must be mechanically inclined with either equipment repair experience or the ability to learn to do so quickly.
  • Must have basic computer skills which include Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to multi-task and have strong time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
