JOB DUTIES (include, but not limited to): Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, the Director of Nursing is responsible for administering the nursing program to maintain standards of patient care; advises medical staff, department directors, site administrator, and executive management in matters related to the nursing department. +FSS III - Reproductive Health Specialist (CMA/RMA) Two Positions Available -Full Time - Special Programs (Society Hill)
JOB DESCRIPTION:  The Reproductive Health Specialist will be a part of the care team to help deliver quality contraceptive care based on the quality family planning model to increase opportunities for integration of contraceptive care into the health center. Primarily, the Reproductive Health Specialist will conduct outreach to clients in the CareSouth service area to provide education about contraceptive options to reduce unintended pregnancy in South Carolina.  This position will also be responsible for becoming the care team expert regarding quality contraceptive care in the clinic and will help educate other care team members on contraceptive best practices as CareSouth is implementing the Choose Well initiative.  This position will establish and cultivate relationships with community organizations to increase patient access and visits to the health center to include referral and follow up.

The Reproductive Health Specialist will be responsible for linking community members to the health system through coordinated outreach and act as a liaison and navigator to new and existing patients for contraceptive care services within the clinics.  This position will serve a primary role in implementing the Choose Well initiative both internal and external to the health center.

EDUCATION:  This position requires a CMA or RMA certification and 1 year experience in the medical field is required.  The position will work exclusively with teen and young adult populations and must be able to communicate and relate well with these age groups. JOB DESCRIPTION: Manages the Friendly Visitor Volunteer Program for the Long Term Care Ombudsman Regional Office.  Reports to the Regional Long Term Care Ombudsman.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit a minimum of one facility per county to participate in the Friendly Visitor Volunteer Program.  Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with long term care facilities for volunteer placement.
  • Work with each participating Facility Administrator to develop an “Orientation to Our Facility” for all new friendly volunteers.
  • Work with Resident and Family Councils when requested;
  • Preschedule a minimum of two trainings per year with the State Friendly Visitor Program Coordinator with a minimum of 6 volunteers per training.
  • Recruit and provide prescreening of potential volunteers, assist potential volunteers with the completion of the Friendly Visitor Packet.
  • Provide training and maintain a minimum of two volunteers per county
  • Provide ongoing support and supervision to volunteers;
  • Plan yearly recognition event to promote retention of volunteers through recognition and on-going contact;
  • Receive, analyze and refer complaints originating from volunteers to the Regional Ombudsman;
  • Maintain and report monthly friendly visitor program statistics;
