JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the general supervision of the Nursing Director, the role of the Callback Nurse will be to provide consistent, timely assistance to the patients of CareSouth via the telephone. He/she will be located in our Call Center and receive all incoming calls from patients needing nurse telephone assistance. The Callback Nurse will be an integral part of the care delivery system assisting all CSC locations with the following nursing responsibilities, as well as other duties as required : take calls from outside healthcare entities either completing the requests or transferring call to site, assist patients with medical refill requests per standing orders, continually monitor and complete nurse tasks assigned in the EMR system, and provide constant collaboration with CSC medical sites and providers.
WORK CONDITIONS: Will be located in a Call Center. No hands-on patient contact. While performing the duties of this job, you must be able to sit for extended periods of time and communicate with callers through the use of a headset.
EDUCATION/SKILLS REQUIRED: Minimum of an Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school or Diploma Nursing Program and three years of related clinical experience required. Must be licensed as an LPN in the state of S.C. Excellent computer skills required. EMR experience required. Must have the ability to multi-task; simultaneously thinks, talks, and types.
