Job Description

Functioning under the clinical guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer, the staff nurse participates in the assessment and care of clinic patients. This involves a variety of tasks requiring judgment born of a solid knowledge and expertise in general nursing theory. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interacts with patients and employees in a respectful manner consistent with the mission and values of CareSouth Carolina.
  • Provides the required documentation for every visit.
  • Maintains a clean environment for performing patient care.
  • Injections will be administered using the 7 patient administration rights (right patient, right time, right medication, right route, right dose, right reason, right documentation).
  • Performs callbacks in a timely manner.
  • Assists with referrals as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree/Diploma required
  • Must be licensed to work as an LPN in the State of South Carolina
  • Must be CPR certified
  • Six to twelve months of experience in a community health care center or family practice setting, strongly preferred
  • Experience with HIV patients is strongly preferred.

Hartsville, SC (Care Innovations Department)

Hours

Monday – Thursday, 40 hours per week.
