Job Description

Functioning under the clinical guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer, the medical assistant participates in the assessment and care of clinic patients. This involves a variety of tasks requiring judgment born of solid knowledge and expertise in general nursing theory. Primary responsibility is to assist in the assessment and care of patients within the scope of her/his training limitations. May perform routine administrative duties such as checking in patients, authorizing insurance and processing co-payments.

Education and Experience

  • High school graduation or GED equivalent is required
  • Completion of a formal program that results in the designation of a medical assistant is required
  • Must be a Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.
  • Current CPR certification is required
  • Six to twelve months of experience as a CMA/RMA in a family practice or community healthcare setting is strongly preferred. 
  • Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) strongly preferred

Monday - Friday, Full Time

Location

Roads Team - (Mobile/Off Site MAT)

The position requires travel to multiple areas: Hartsville, Dillon and Chesterfield
