CareSouth Carolina: Updated Safety Protocols in Office Locations

As a way to provide the safest experience for our patients and our staff, CareSouth Carolina continues to update its policies and procedures to adjust to the ever-changing COVID-19 pandemic.

How is CareSouth Carolina keeping its facilities safe?

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, every morning when our employees arrive for work, they are having their temperature taken. Should they have a fever, they are being seen by a provider and being sent home.

Likewise, any patient who enters a CareSouth Carolina facility is required to wear a mask and will be met at the door by a nurse who will take their temperature. If the patient has a fever or is showing symptoms, they are being taken back into a patient room to keep from potentially exposing others.

Kiosk usage

Hand sanitizer will be available near each kiosk with a sign for patients to sanitize their hands before and after use. Disposable covers will also be placed on the kiosk screen and will be changed frequently as a way to fight the spread of germs in the office as patients check-in.

Furniture & Doors are being sanitized frequently

The Front Office counters and windows will be wiped down every hour or less.

Chairs, door knobs, handles and bars, including entrances to the building, front office employee areas, bathroom door knobs as well as entrances to the clinical area, will be wiped down even more frequently than they already were previously.

GPS Air Scrubbers

In many of our clinical and non-clinical office locations, CareSouth Carolina has installed GPS Air Scrubbers that work to filter the air and have shown a 99.4 percent reduction rate on a SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) surface strain within 30 minutes during ionization testing.
