Job Description

Responsible for scheduling and greeting patients, answering the telephone, maintaining daily patient logs and journals, collecting co-pays from patients, balancing daily cash drawers, and compiling utilization statistics. Provides basic assistance to the clinical employees and assists with patient needs.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required but a certificate as a medical office assistant is strongly preferred
• Three (3) to five (5) years of medical office experience preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of medical insurance is strongly preferred
• Experience collecting medical co-pays is strongly preferred
• EMR/EHR experience is strongly preferred
• Cash drawer balancing experience is strongly preferred
• Must be willing to work as part of a team, contributing to the shared workload
• Must have the ability to work harmoniously with a team
• Must be willing to be flexible even in a stressful environment
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Monday – Friday, daytime hours
