EHR Clinical Trainer

Job Description

This position is responsible for training, assisting, and supporting providers and nurses, and may include other clinical staff, in the use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) as it pertains to patient care and data collection. High-level knowledge of EHR (vender is eClinical Works) is to be used with creative thinking and teaching skills in order to work with staff members and teams to identify the best application of currently available software to achieve both quality and efficiency in patient care. The position requires the ability to foster and maintain positive and close working relationships with staff in all departments, and thereby recommend system changes and enhancements to the EHR Manager and the team as well as provide ongoing updates, training, and feedback to providers/clinical staff in regard to the best use of the EHR.

Education and Experience

  • Certificate or Associate’s degree required
  • Clinical training, such as a CMA, RMA, LPN, etc. preferred but not required
  • A minimum of two years of EHR experience required; preferably as a trainer or super user
  • Strong medical terminology skills required
  • Must have the ability to assess training needs and objectives
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all types of people required
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
  • The ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines is a must

Location

Will be required to work in all CareSouth offices – Bishopville, Darlington, Chesterfield, Marlboro, and Dillon counties.

Hours

40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
