Phlebotomist - PRN - Various Locations

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the collection, labeling and preparation of blood specimens for patient testing. Also responsible for various other on site testing. Responsible for the maintenance of all applicable logs, the filing of reports and assembling of the appropriate chart with appropriate lab report. At times, assists nursing employees in the care of patients within limits and under clinic nurse supervision. SKILLS/EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent is required, and the completion of one year certificate from college or technical school. National certification strongly preferred. Three to six months experience in community clinical setting is preferable. HOURS/LOCATION: This position is PRN, as needed, as scheduled, to work at various CareSouth Carolina locations.  The above position was posted on 2/23/2010
