About CareSouth Carolina

COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER

Community Health Centers are the third largest health provider network in the United States, serving more than 15 million people in the nation. In South Carolina, CareSouth Carolina is one of 20 Community Health Center corporations providing preventative and primary health services to over 150,000 patients in the underserved areas of the state.

The doors of Community Health Centers are open to everyone. They are private, non–profit community owned and operated corporations founded on the delivery of accessible and affordable quality primary health care. Clients are charged according to their ability to pay. The uninsured as well as the underinsured in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina depend on CareSouth Carolina’s ability to provide state–of–the–art health care that is affordable.

In the past decade, CareSouth Carolina’s innovative approach to primary care has attracted an increasing number of private pay patients drawn to our holistic understanding of health care and a staff of professionals who still take the time to care about their clients.
