![]() Ted Wurzbacher has been with CareSouth Carolina for nine years. He was first hired as a site manager for the Hartsville and Bishopville sites. From there, Ted filled a vacancy in Human Resources. Back then it was a one person operation for around 70 employees. Today, his position as HR Manager has evolved into maintaining personnel records, benefits administration and payroll. Ted also does an exceptional job introducing new employees at the quarterly staff meetings and gives the invocation at some of our more formal gatherings. Originally from Massachusetts, Ted spent four years in the Navy and then went on to achieve an undergraduate degree in personnel management at the University of South Florida and an MBA at Nova University. He moved to South Carolina in 1991 where he met his wife and best friend, Joann, in Charleston. He has one daughter -Ashly - from a previous marriage. She is married, lives in Florida and has a son, Logan, just over a year old. Proudly stating that Logan is the best looking grandson any grandfather would want, he brings out pictures to prove it. Joann has two sons: Kevin is in the Army and Kenny is living well in Surfside Beach As an elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Hartsville, Ted is involved with a Stephen Ministry program and is a member of the chancel choir. He is an adjunct faculty member at Coker College, belongs to the Hartsville Civic Chorale, and is a member of the human relations committee at The Saleeby Center. Ted enjoys reading adventure mysteries, Civil War history, and taking short day trips with Joann in their 350Z! This year, Ted reached a milestone—he turned 65 on August 23rd.
