![]() This past May, the CSC Employee Council was started for the purpose of engaging staff and opening a communication process for improvement. The Council meets monthly to discuss what works and what doesn’t at CSC. They dialog with the Executive Management team on their discussions and priorities. The Council are non-management representatives who give a voice to all employees. So far, the process is working. Input is being used to help solve problems as well as highlight processes which are working well. “Our motto is to attack the problem, not the person,” says Mark Smith, Employee Council Chair. “We cannot always achieve a desired outcome for a number of reasons - restrictions by OSHA or JCAHO or state and federal policies. But, we will do our best to make for a pleasant working environment in which we can all be treated with the respect and dignity that we deserve while maintaining the professionalism that is expected from us by our patients, clients and, more importantly, ourselves. Current Members of the Employee Council: Jamie Atkinson-Cheraw, Tracy Beasley-Corporate, Eileen Brown-Bennettsville, Eloise Gardner-Bishopville, Kim Grant-Hartsville Peds., Deborah Haggins(co-chair)-Bishopville, Motsy Hill-Chesterfield, Sheila Huggins-Hartsville Medical, Deloras Jackson-Bennettsville, Lisa Linton-Society Hill, Julie Matuse-Society Hill, Clara Montague-Special Programs/PI, Nora Rowell-Lakeview, Mark Smith(chair)-Vantage Point/HR/CareFirst and Tara Stubbs-McColl.
