Yes, it’s now official. Medicine is on the shelf. Staff, including a pharmacist, has been hired. The Board of Pharmacy has given its stamp of approval. It’s taken a lot of work, but it’s finally here – CareSouth Carolina now has a pharmacy. That’s great news for CSC patients, staff as well as those in the community looking for a place where they can afford their medications and get top quality service from their pharmacy. The CSC Community Pharmacy is physically located in the CareSouth Carolina Hartsville Medical Center at 1268 South Fourth St. – directly in front of the Super Walmart. Nick Tomlinson, RPh, has been hired as the pharmacist. Two Pharmacy Techs and a courier (also a pharmacy tech) have also been hired. The hours will be Monday through Friday, 9am – 5:30pm. To meet the needs of patients, by mid-April, the pharmacy plans to provide next-day delivery to all of CareSouth Carolina’s medical centers for prescriptions received by 1 p.m. the previous day. Staff responsible for implementing the process at the center have received and been trained on procedures for submission of prescriptions, delivery and pick up. Discounts will be provided to CareSouth Carolina patients, staff and their families as long as they are patients of CareSouth Carolina. So, help get the word out. Make sure patients know that were open. Then, let your friends and family know that affordable medications and good customer service at a local pharmacy has finally come back to town - at their local CSC Community Pharmacy.
